This remarkable private fishery is very special to Nomadic Waters. If you are looking for consistent shots at huge Timensis peacock bass, this is the location for you. Our guests lose count of how many peacock bass they land between 65 cm and 75 cm each trip.
Characterized by small water, this river connects to countless lakes and lagoons that all hold large paca, three bar acu, butterfly, and popoca peacock bass. Guests hook into 20-pound acu almost every week, and these are the largest butterfly peacock bass we have ever seen.
If you are an explorer at heart, you will be blown away by this experience as we cut our way into new lagoons every week.
Group Size: 8 Guests, double occupancy.
Accommodations: Deluxe double room in floating lodge with A/C, private bath and shower. Exceptional cuisine and cocktails, and an incredible staff make this an extraordinary experience.
What makes this location special?
Three words: Consistent, clear water. The Rio da Lua has extremely consistent flows and runs clear. This makes for the perfect environment for our fish to grow fat and happy, and to spawn multiple times per season guaranteeing a well-balanced population of species.

The Rio da Lua offers the finest and most consistent fishing that we have ever experienced. This is a quality fishery, both for numbers and trophies. Here you can have non-stop action and head-hunt for that true trophy Timenses Peacock Bass at the same time.
Perfect for families, corporate groups, and fishing buddies who want to share this amazing jungle experience.
What makes the Rio da Lua unique?
Private fishery. Guests will experience opportunities to cast to multiple double-digit peacock bass as well as a variety of other species.
Wildlife: Low human impact in this area means greater opportunities to see the exotic birds and mammals that live in these jungles. Countless Macaws, green parrots, and other birds are seen daily. We see jaguars almost every week, many monkeys, caiman, pink dolphins, and even the rarely-seen Amazon manatee live here.
Our chef offers a delicious variety of Brazilian fare along with classic international dishes. Meals are served in our open concept dining room.
Our large floating lodge is centrally located on a huge section of the Rio da Lua. This space comfortably holds up to 16 guests (two groups) in spacious double occupancy rooms with private baths with showers, individual air conditioning, and plenty of room for your extra gear.
